Kassander Regional Bio: Thearekt

castle by the water

Kassander

Centuries ago, the light birthed out of the darkness a land of life, love, and hope. At one time, Kassander was filled with peace and plenty. Before the Tyrant unleashed his bloodthirsty reign of darkness and death across the land, the manifold glow of hope radiated across the kingdom.

In the morning, the sun rises over the Great Mountains, producing an awe-inspiring array of orange, red, and yellow hues, brush stroked across the massive blue canopy blanketing the world. The open fields underneath are peppered with aromatic flowers that tantalize the senses.

A countless assortment of wild animals frolic with gaiety across the land, while a myriad of aquatic life make their way through the many different bodies of water.

Though Heart Guard stood firm at the center, the land of Kassander was made up of five other regions. Thearekt lay to the North, Petros to the West, Sophias to the Southwest, Photaas to the Northeast, and Ugennis to the Southeast. Each fortress acted as an autonomous metropolis that heavily relied on Heart Guard for guidance, wisdom, and help in times of distress.

Thearekt

Thearekt, is nestled close to the Great Sea. Many fishermen reside here and make their living off the water. Fresh aquatic exports are Thearekt’s primary contribution in terms of sustenance. However, this fortress also serves closely with Heart Guard in political and diplomatic affairs.

After the banishment of the Tyrant and rebuilding, Thearekt now aids in securing peace and prosperity. The fortress is filled with the sounds of merchants, fishermen, and both feet and hooves pounding about on the cobblestone pathways.

Multiple wheat fields and flower nurseries can be seen from the Thearekt gates. Floating upon the cool breeze is the ambient smell of the ocean, fresh baked breads of all kinds, and perfumes.
