Manuscript Update
Hello everyone. I hope you are doing fantastically well today. Can you believe we are almost through January in 2025?! WOW! I wanted to provide an update on where I am with Book 1 in my fantasy series. If you have not yet followed, liked, or subscribed for updates, you can do that here on X or Instagram, here on Facebook, and here on the website. I have completed my manuscript for Book 1 – The Indwelling Darkness: Love, Bloodshed, & the Fall. Oh that sounds good, doesn’t it? Heck yeah it does, and it is! Although I am a bit bias. For those who are maybe new to this site, allow me to elaborate.
Story Synopsis
Indwelling Darkness is about the manifestation of evil incarnate in the form of a tyrant who seeks to cover the kingdom in darkness by first imprisoning the seven light spirits, then by violently usurping the king’s throne, eliminating the heir, and destroying any who get in his way. Meanwhile, Erramuun, our male protagonist who has been raised the king’s son, learns that fate will take him in a different direction by placing upon him the duty of falling into the kingly line.
Fighting to overcome self-doubt, he soon learns all he has been raised to believe may not be true, adding ambiguity to his already misunderstood past. Can his best friend Rayne, our prominent female protagonist truly love him? Showing up at the Heart Guard gate when they were both little children is the only piece of her past to cling to. With so many questions of her own, will she ever find out who she is and understand her place in the kingdom?
As the Tyrant grows strong building an army of death and destruction, darkness continues to envelop the land. Will fate bring Erramuun and Rayne together to fulfill the prophecy, usher in the Great Dawn of Light, and dispel the evil or will an act of betrayal and bloodlust spell the end of kingdom and all that they love.

Goosebumps right… If you are interested in becoming a beta-reader or getting early pre-pub access let me know. With that said, I have officially submitted the manuscript to a developmental editor. Our collaboration begins February 3rd and should terminate March 7th. Now if you are a newbie like me, you may find yourself wondering, ‘What is developmental editing?’ I could explain it, but it would be much easier if I just point you to the professionals here.
Are you exhausted from reading all about the editing process? I know I was. Luckily, there are professionals who not only enjoy that kind of thing, but also want other writers to be successful. The road to publishing is still long, but I am traveling it along with my family. I believe that:
for every story there is an audience, and for every audience there is a story
